Dixie the Chi- cute as can be! the Dog needs a home


Do you like spunk? Have you always wanted a small snuggle buddy? If you answered yes, then Dixie might just be your girl! She is a 3-year-old sweet, sassy, and special girl who is looking for the perfect home.   Her adopter will need to be patient at first because Dixie takes a little time to warm up. Once she decides that you are safe, she blossoms into the most wonderful little companion.  She literally jumps into her foster mom's arms when she comes home from work.  She is working on her house training and will need continued training in her new home. There are some great tips under the training section on CCRC's website to help her to be successful. Because she is shy at first, a home without children would be ideal. She has gotten along with some smaller dogs, but we are unsure of cats. If you think you might be a good match for Dixie, please fill out an application to meet her!

Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $200 for adults and $275 for puppies, which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.
